It is an oval-shaped fruit, with bright red-orange or red-purple skin. The pulp is juicy, red-orange in color and contains small, flat, black seeds that are edible. The taste is slightly acidic. The skin is not edible. It is source of vitamins A, B6, C, E, iron and potassium.
